The Lumos Flash Program

Flash programs are one-day workshops that run for six hours on Sundays at various points in the academic year. Designed and developed for students who are too busy to commit to Lumos Lightning or Lumos Focus, Flash programs are single sessions that expose participants to the same skill-building with an abbreviated but intense agenda.

With experiential learning at the heart of the workshop, every participant should end the day with a heightened level of confidence and a more informed understanding of how the voice and body can best engage audiences. Instruction also includes techniques for effective storytelling and rhetorical strategies that make messages memorable and compelling.

Lumos Flash sections are capped at 12 students.

Studying public speaking allowed me to connect with others and empathize with them on a level that I’d never experienced before. I grew more comfortable with sharing the issues and stories that mattered most to me. I pushed past my fears, and I feel better than ever about myself and my relationships.
